Working on these
Here are three GW night goblins from around 1992. I'm trying to give them a lot of contrast, like they're lit up at night. The spotlight effect on the bases should reinforce this look. I got the idea from Kujo's excellent youtube channel.
As usual, I'm not aiming to replicate any standard uniform or colour scheme. I like my models to be individuals.
I should really do the troll next. Thinking of ideas for a base is a bit daunting, but after doing the hillbilly, I have a little more confidence.

News
My blog now has a follower! Thanks Jc. Make that TWO! Thank you Finch!
Also, I really should post pictures of my GW squig that's been finished for about a month.

Goblins at last
These have taken over a month per model, but I'm quite pleased with them.
The goblin with the pointy finger had his arm bent down a bit. I was a bit bored with models pointing into the distance. This one is saying 'come here' or 'bring him here' and is a lot more menacing, I think.

New arrivals
I bought these on ebay in the middle of last year. Picked them up from my parents' house at Christmas, and sharing them now. There are two sets, both forming part of Grenadier boxed sets released in the '80s.
The first batch is from the Goblin Warband by Nick Lund. Not sure of the release date. I have five of the original ten goblins.
Next up we have models from the Orc Battle Set. I have seven of the original twelve. A few of them have the heads of their weapons missing but that could be fun to fix.
Looking forward to painting all of these. They feel quite significant, being so old. Also, they have such character and are very different
to my eye from, for example, Citadel models of the same type.
